Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment for a urine drug screen?
No appointment is needed. Urine drug screens are available on a walk-in basis at our Appleton clinic during posted business hours. Drug screening is not available at our Smith Pharmacy location.
Do you accept insurance?
No. NPHS is a self-pay clinic and does not accept or bill insurance, including Medicare. We offer affordable, straightforward pricing so you can receive personalized care without insurance requirements. Ask us about our membership plans for additional savings with convenient monthly billing.
How do I pay for care at NPHS?
You can pay for individual visits and services or choose a membership plan with convenient monthly billing. If you’re enrolled in an NPHS employer-sponsored plan, your employer may cover some or all of your care, depending on the plan. We’ll help you understand your options and costs before you get started. We currently accept cash, personal check, or major debit/credit/HSA card payments.
Fees apply to all card transactions.
Is a membership right for me?
If you’re looking for affordable primary care with predictable monthly payments, an NPHS membership may be a good fit. It can be especially helpful if you have a high-deductible insurance plan or prefer to pay directly for routine care. We’re happy to help you explore your options and decide what works best for you.
What are the benefits of an NPHS membership?
Our membership plans offer additional savings and convenient monthly billing, making it easier to plan for your primary care expenses. You’ll receive personalized care from a team that takes the time to listen and get to know you.
Is a membership the same as health insurance?
No, an NPHS membership is a way to pay for the primary care services included in your plan. It is not health insurance and does not cover services outside your membership. We’re happy to explain what’s included so you know what to expect.
Do I still need health insurance?
We recommend keeping health insurance alongside your NPHS membership. Your membership helps with routine primary care, while insurance can help cover unexpected medical expenses and services outside your plan, such as emergency care, hospitalization, surgery, and imaging.
